The Programme
UNPO is dedicated to advancing gender equality both within our organization and in the broader context of unrepresented communities. Internally, we strive to break barriers by empowering women in leadership roles, ensuring that women serve in key positions such as president, vice presidents, and secretary general. Externally, we actively support the empowerment of women within unrepresented communities by providing crucial support for human rights defenders and advocating for greater political power devolution.

Objectives

Taking Action
- Implement policies and practices that promote gender equality within the UNPO, including mentorship and leadership training programs for women.
- Ensure equal opportunities for women to participate in all levels of the organization, from entry-level positions to top leadership roles.
Create safe spaces and networks for women activists to share experiences, strategies, and support.
Develop and advocate for policies that promote gender equality and the political empowerment of women in unrepresented communities.
