The Sindh health department, in collaboration with the WHO [World Health Organization] and other partners, has sent teams of experts including doctors, epidemiologists, pharmacists, and communication specialists to flood-affected areas in the province. Essential medical supplies have also been handed over to health authorities in the affected areas.

The provincial health department with WHO, UNICEF, UNFPA and other partners, has also established a joint Health Emergency Operations Cell (HEOC) located inside the Sindh Secretariat No 4. The cell will collect and analyze reports and take necessary action to tackle emerging health problems in the flood-affected areas. A joint WHO-Department of Health team remains present at the HEOC round the clock to monitor the situation in Sindh.
