Kurdish human rights activist and journalist Mohammad Sadiq Kaboudvand was once again arrested by Iranian authorities.

On July 1, 2007, Iranian security apparatuses arrested Kurdish journalist Mohammad Sadiq Kaboudvand, secretary of a human rights organization in Kurdistan and editor of the weekly Payam-e Mardom-e Kurdestan. No reason for the arrest was given. Kaboudvand had previously been given a year-and-a-half suspended sentence for his activities.
