ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League President Ch Shujaat Hussain has said that we are ready to give Sindh all the guarantees it wants within the ambit of the constitution but if it says that by taking a canal out of KBD would make Sindh a sovereign country this would not be acceptable.

Talking to reporters at the Parliament House on Friday the PML president said President Musharraf has taken strict notice and expressed his anger over the remarks of MPA Ghuffar Jatoi that if any canal is taken out of Kalabagh dam than Sindh would become a independent country and had said that what sort of a condition is this which aims at disintegrating the country.
Ch Shujaat said we are ready to accept conditions of Sindh however it has not put forward any clear demand with regards to Kalabagh dam.

He said whenever a demand is out forward by Sindh we would definitely review it with the consultation of parliament, provisional assembly and opposition parties.

In response to a question he said it could take 4 to 6 weeks to gain consensus on the Kalabagh dam and if the consensus is not reached now than it could never be reached.

He said President is trying his best to gain national consensus on the matter at the earliest as water reservoirs are need of the country.
