UNPO Participates in Migration Symposium in Istanbul


Starting today, 08 December 2005, an International Migration Symposium in Istanbul, Turkey, will tackle important questions related to the topical issue of migration and migratory movements around the world

From 08 until 11 December 2005, a symposium on international migration will be held in Istanbul, Turkey. Issues to be covered range from world migration movements, migration to and from Turkey, refugee questions, rural migration, urbanization and the issue of the prevention of migration. This highly topical symposium will be attended by policymakers, academics and experts in the field. UNPO General Secretary Marino Busdachin will present a paper on migration issues, focusing particular attention on aspects of migration affecting UNPO Members.
