Coronavirus: Kurti Government falls in Kosovo

Below is an article by Kallxo (originally in Albanian)

The Kosovo government led by Albin Kurti was overthrown today by a no-confidence motion initiated by the ruling partner, the Democratic League of Kosovo.

The motion was voted with 82 votes in favor, 34 against and 1 abstention.

117 deputies were present in the hall.

The Kurti government was overthrown on the 52nd day of its rule.

The review of the motion of no confidence in the executive was requested to be postponed due to the situation created by the coronavirus, from which 71 cases have been confirmed in Kosovo so far. But that did not happen.

The Kurti government was approved on February 3 this year in the Assembly of Kosovo, after more than 100 days of LVV-LDK negotiations and about 4 months after the early elections of October 6, 2019, which first ranked LVV, and the second LDK.
