Coronavirus: Moscow Abkhaz Diaspora Sends Home Medical Supplies


The Abkhaz diaspora in Moscow have played a large role in helping Abkhazia combat the virus, having funded the transport of a load of medical supplies from Moscow to Abkhazia, including medical and protective equipment, and disinfectants.

The humanitarian aid of medical equipment, protective equipment and disinfection, purchased and delivered from Moscow by the Moscow Abkhaz diaspora, the movement “We are together” and the family of E. Ghazava, is being distributed among medical institutions of Abkhazia, as reported by the Operational Headquarters for the protection of the country's population from coronavirus infection.
  
In particular:
- goggles provided: Gudauta Central District Hospital in the amount of 50 pcs., Sukhumi Infectious Diseases Hospital - 30 pcs., Republican SES and Republican Central Bank - 20 pcs., Other district hospitals - 10 pcs. (all distributed over medical facilities - 300 pcs.);
- protective suits provided: Gudauta Central District Hospital - 300 pcs., Sukhumi Infectious Disease Hospital and Republican SES - 100 pcs each., Republican Central Bank, Ochamchyr and Tkuarchal Central Bank - 50 pcs each. (all distributed over medical facilities - 1,000 pcs.);
- respiratory masks provided: Gudauta Central District Hospital - 500 pcs., Sukhumi Infectious Disease Hospital and Republican Central Bank - 200 pcs., Republican SES - 100 pcs., Other district hospitals - 50 pcs. (all distributed over medical facilities - 2 184 pcs.);
- Infrared non-contact thermometers provided: Gudauta Central District Hospital and Republican SES - 5 each, the Republican Central Bank - 4 units, Gudauta, Ochamchyr and Sukhumi city polyclinics - 3 each, Galskaya and Tkuarchal district hospitals - 2 each. (all distributed over medical facilities - 50 pcs.);
- medical masks provided: Gudauta Central District Hospital - 1,000 pcs., Republican Central Bank, Sukhumi Infectious Diseases Hospital, Ochamchyrskaya and Tkuarchalsky regional hospitals, Sukhumi city polyclinics - 500 each. (all distributed over medical facilities - 7,000 pcs.);
- Gudauta Central District Hospital in the amount of 4 pcs.

In addition, other medical equipment and components are distributed among the country's medical facilities. In the near future, the next delivery of humanitarian aid is planned.
