Brittany: More than 500 People Reenact Historical Battle in Commemoration of Loss of Independence
On July 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th 2019, the Association 1488, with over 350 members and approximately 250 committed volunteers and extras, delivered four theatrical sound and light performances titled "1488". The spectacles were aimed at reenacting and commemorating the battle of Saint-Aubin du Cormier in its historical context: a battle that led to the loss of Brittany's independence. The historical performances took place at the Château de la Giraudais, in Mézières sur Couesnon, north of the battlefield of Saint-Aubin du Cormier. The UNPO wishes to congratulate its members on the success of the initiative, which keeps alive the memory of Breton culture and continues to inspire the Breton people.
