NEWSLETTER February 2018

In February 2018, the Unrepresented Nations and Peoples Organization (UNPO) celebrated its 27th anniversary and organised a variety of activities. A conference taking place at the US Congress shone a light on the dire human rights situation in East Turkestan, looking at Uyghurs' religious and cultural freedoms in particular. Two UNPO missions - to Rwanda and Chameria- served as an opportunity to gather valuable first-hand information about the situation of our members in these countries. In February, UNPO also released its new comprehensive report on the human rights situation in Pakistan.
