In July 2017, the Unrepresented Nations and Peoples Organization (UNPO) convened a series of events, in collaboration with the World Baloch Organization (WBO) focusing on the impact of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) on the Human Rights of the Baloch in Balochistan, Pakistan. These events included a House of Lords Conference, and a seminar at the headquarters of Amnesty International that brought together experts. Other activities taking place this month included a conference on the Uyghur emergency which was held in Rome and movie screenings in Brussels, which gave insight to the challenges faced by indigenous populations in Brazil and in Uganda.
