Balochistan: Coordinated Series of Abductions by Pakistani Military Forces

On 16 and 17 March 2017, in the Panjgur and Turbat regions more than seven individuals belonging to the Baloch minority were forcibly taken from their homes and businesses in front of their families by Pakistani military personnel, and are now being held in unknown locations. Looting jewellery and cash from their victims, the soldiers harassed and intimidated the locals and their families before abducting them.

Pakistani security forces attacked different localities in Parome, Panjgur Balochistan in the early hours of Friday [17 March 2017] morning.

According details a convoy of around 40 Pakistani military vehicles attacked many bazaar of in Parome region of Panjgur.

Pakistan forces have looted valuables including jewelry and cash from innocent Baloch residents and terrorised women and children during the attacks.

They have also abducted several innocent people including Majeed son of Rasheed, Omran son of Hakeem, Shakir son of Arz Mohammad, Haji Abdul Salaam, and several others.

Separately, on Thursday [16 March 2017] Pakistani forces abducted a Baloch teacher from Tertej are of Awaran and a Student from Dalsar region of Turbat Balochistan.

The abducted teacher has been named as Shakeel son of Lala Bakhsh and the student was identified as Naveed son of Allah Bakhsh Baloch.
