Balochistan Human Rights Group July Newsletter

The July BHRG newsletter reports on recent human rights violations in the region of Balochistan, including the extra-judicial killing of five Baloch prisoners, and the already more than 400 abductions and enforced disappearances of Baloch civilians by security forces in 2016.

A special edition of BHRG's newsletter focuses on the abduction of Wahid Baloch, a well-known literary activist, social worker and human rights campaigner. Being one of the country's most vocal opponent of enforced disappearances and extra-judicial killings, family and friends fear for Baloch's life. There is an urgent need for international pressure in order to force Pakistan to give Mr. Baloch the right to defend himself in front of a court of law.
