Gagauzia: Constantin Tausanji Has Accused the Gaugazian Authorities of Unlawful Actions Against Him


The policemen of the Department of Internal Affairs of Gagauzia did not allow him to enter his own working room to fulfil his service functions
Comrat Primar Constantin Tausanji has accused the Gagauzian authorities of unlawful actions against him. As INTERLIC News agency reports, he has declared it at a press conference in Chisinau today.
According to him, on April 8 and 9 the policemen of the Department of Internal Affairs of Gagauzia did not allow him to enter his own working room to fulfil his service functions. Besides, they changed the lock there and confiscated his office seal.

Constantin Tausanji considers the resolution of March 23, 2004, of his deposition from his office by National Assembly of Gagauzia as unlawful because he allegedly abused his powers, that was expressed in supporting the businessmen’s legitimate protest against double taxation and numerous inspections.

He has declared that only the court or a referendum of the population of the municipality have the right to depose him from the post of the Comrat Primar. In the connection with the above unlawful actions he addressed to the Supreme leadership of the RM, the OSCE and the Helsinki Committee for the Protection of Human rights in Moldova.
