Nugzar Ashuba, the Secretary of Security Council, Beslan Kubrava, the Head of Administration of the President, Oleg Arshba, the Deputy Minister of foreign affairs, Irakliy Khintba, the Deputy Minister of foreign affairs and heads of territorial and functional departments of the MFA of Abkhazia participated in the meeting under the chairmanship of Chirikba V.A., the Minister of Foreign Affairs.

The heads of departments reported to the members of the Board and invitees on the final work of their departments.

Chirikba V.A. , the head of the MFA of Abkhazia reported on the activity of the MFA of Abkhazia for 2013. He stopped on the key events in the foreign-policy sphere for the expired period, gave a mark of effectiveness of work of territorial and functional departments and planned a number of perspective directions of work according of which the work of the MFA will be concentrated in the current year. «We may say, that the year was fruitful and effective. We will be seeking new forms and methods of improvement of our work and removal of remaining of lacks. The main directions of foreign policy of Abkhazia as it was said by the President of the Republic of Abkhazia is strengthening of strategic partnership with the Russian Federation and progress of wide international recognition of independence of the Republic of Abkhazia. The task for opening of Abkhazia to the world demands great work and responsibility of the whole staff and we keep positive dynamics in our movement to the realization of objectives of our foreign policy», - underlined Chirikba V.A.

The report of the activity of the MFA of Abkhazia for 2013 will be published at the beginning of the next week in the Mass Media of Abkhazia.

Khintba I.R., the Deputy Minister of foreign affairs submitted a project on the Statute of the Social-Expert Council to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia to the discussion of the Board. «There is necessity in the normative regulations of the Council activity. We will continue to involve the Parliament, experts, scientific- educational circles, public associations in the process of elaboration of proposals on realization of basic directions of foreign policy of Abkhazia. It will strengthen the legitimacy of the MFA of Abkhazia activity and help more effective our community in the explanation of our work», - underlined Khintba I.R.

The project of the Statute was adopted unanimously by the members of the Board. Beslan Kubrava, the Head of Administration of the President gave a positive mark to the work of the MFA of Abkhazia. «The activity of the MFA became more effective since international recognition of Abkhazia in 2008. The work of the MFA has definite achievements. I am sure that the MFA in the present membership has all opportunity to get more progress within the active support of the leadership of the Republic».

Nugzar Ashuba, the Secretary of Security Council said that the joint work of the Security Council and the MFA of Abkhazia would be strengthened. «The MFA work will be closely connected with the security issues that is why I rely on our cooperation», - said Ashuba N. Some issues of foreign policy of the Republic of Abkhazia and aspects of optimization of intradepartmental organization work have been discussed at the meeting too.
