I hope someday you will join us, and the world will live as one... (C) John Lennon

People present their feeling of justice in different photo frames. Being beyond the limits of history calls people to the future, not to the past. And future sees world united around justice. My thoughts are photo which consists of keyboard and fingers…

The event...

Forces had blockaded the Khojaly city in October 1991. All ways to the city were closed. The only transport way was by air. It seemed that people were within four walls. On January 28, 1992, people breathed last day of their life. Airways were closed. There was no information. The city was as silent as dumb. The ruins of the Soviet Union were playing dangerous game for the future. And the future force had to be prevented. It seems that the name “Armenia” was created to be used.

Geographical review of Khojaly...

Khojaly had a very favorable geographic position. Khojaly city is located in the 10 km south-east from the central Khankandi city of the Nagorny Karabakh Autonomous Region. Nagorno-Karabakh belongs mountainous range. The city had an important transport role due to the fact that, it’s located on Aghdam-Shusha and Asgaran-Khankendi roads. The Only airport in the Nagorny Karabakh Autonomous Region is in Khojaly city. Throughout the history, people lived in this city. Historical monuments in the city make it antiquity. Also historical architectural monuments are the most popular. In addition, it is  one of the most advanced cities due to the livestock, farming, weaving, bee-keeping, and growing.

At the beginning of January 1992, electricity was stopped by Armenians and caused fear in the city. Khojaly city was in dark...

The snowy shells...

There was the coldest month of winter, February… Since the second half of February, Armenians started to besiege the town of Khojaly. The sounds of guns and military heavy equipment each day implied that war might start any time. In 1992, on the night from February 25 to 26 in the town of Khojaly fire balls and tanks were exposed. After long hours of fire, Armenian infantry detachments started to attack. People were trying to escape. One side of the closed city with four walls had been opened. This was the way to Asgaran city. People who ran toward Asgaran were not sure about their future.

Trick...

People who thought that they saved faced a danger. Armenian army blocked the only way of the population. The population was killed by shooting. There were people who saved their lives. During the second half of the night, people were forced to go through the snowy passes. People had already become exhausted. The effect of frosty winter was threating the lives of people. Simple death was not frightening such people. But the humiliated part of human life was to die by torture. Killing exhausted people by torture is known to Azerbaijanis from Chingiz Mustafayev’s videos.

"Justice for Khojaly"

After the known massacre, in 28th February 1992 group of journalists with 2 helicopters went to the place where people died. Snowy plains was full of dead bodies. The group was forced to leave that place because of Armenians’ fire attack. In 1st March, local and foreign journalists went there again. Terrible situation were observed again. By taking videos and pictures, journalists delivered information about killed people and how they had been tortured, to the world.

In Conclusion:

February 26, 1992, in Khojaly city the genocide was committed by Armenia. 613 people killed. Everyone knows the truth... I express a photo to our silence world: I am Azerbaijani from Khojaly!
