Balochistan: Political Activists Killed


Two political activists have been tortured and killed by the Pakistani military and Baloch families have been driven out of their homes.

Two Baloch political activists have been killed in town of Kharan Balochistan on Tuesday evening [27 November 2012] in a clash against members of Pakistan military death squad leader by Haji Manzoor.

According sources Allah Rahm Baloch and Aslam Baloch were returning to their home when the Pakistan military death squad ambushed them at Kulan Road in Kharan. Allah Rahm was reportedly about to get married in two days.

Basham Baloch, a spokesperson of the Baloch Liberation Front (BLF), in a statement said that Allah Rahm and Aslam Dagarzai Baloch were killed in a clash against the Pakistan military death squad. He further said the head of death squad Haji Manzoor Baloch and his accompany was also killed in the clash.

The BLF spokesperson warned that his organisation will not spare the national traitors who collaborate with Pakistan military against Baloch resistance organisations. He requested Baloch people to stay away from these “traitors” because Baloch freedom fighters will target them whenever they get the opportunity to attack them.

It is worth mentioning that Aslam Dagarzai Baloch was nephew of Nasir Dagarzai Baloch who was also abducted and subsequently killed by Pakistan security forces in custody. Subsequently, his tortured bullet-riddled body was found from western bypass area of Quetta on July 17, 2011.

Local sources reported that the killed and injured members of Pakistan military death squad were taken to a nearby military camp and the next morning they were shifted to CMH (Combine Military Hospital) in Quetta, capital of Balochistan, in a military helicopter.

A local source on the condition of anonymity said, “The Pakistan military death squad, Mussalah Defa Tanzeem (Armed Defence Organisation) operates in the area with immunity and complete support of Pakistan army and ISI.

“In the first week of November the thugs of MDT has increased their anti Baloch activities in Kharan and they have forced several innocent Baloch families to abandon their homes behind and seek refuge in safe places as they were threatened with dire consequences including death threats.”
