Crimean Tatars: All-Turkic Congress Of Social Sciences

Crimeafirst hosts the 10th International All- Turkic Congress of Social Sciences. Before this the Congress was held in Turkey, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and other countries.

On August 29-31, 2012 the Crimean Engineering – Pedagogical University hosts more than 200 participants of the 10th International All-Turkic Congress of Social Sciences. The scientists - specialist in Turkic philology arrived to Crimea from the USA, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Ukraine to discuss the sensitive issues of culture, history, sociology and philology in the panel sessions.

The slogan of the 10th International All- Turkic Congress of Social Sciences became the words of the great educator of the Turkic world Ismail Gasprinsky “Unity in thoughts, words and deeds”.

The discussions and opinions expressed by the faculty of the leading universities of the USA, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Ukraine were fixed in the Resolution of the 10th International All- Turkic Congress of Social Sciences.

The Leader of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, MP of Ukraine Mustafa Jemilev, attending the ceremonial closing of the 10th International All- Turkic Congress of Social Sciences, congratulated the organizers and all participants of the Congress with successful implementation of their goals and completion of their fruitful work.

“We appreciate and thank you for choosing Crimea to hold such important and significant event in the Turkic world,- Mustafa Jemilev said. – Such scientific – practical conferences represent an executive possibility, including for the Crimean Tatar people, to share experience, knowledge and opinions on the sensitive issues the peoples of the Turkic world concerned with”.

Mejlis’ Leader noted that the reports of the Congress’ participants, their topics also touched the Crimean Tatar issue that testifies to the high level of the responsibility and professionalism of the participants of the event to the problems studied.

Mejlis’ Leader Mustafa Jemilev expressed his opinion that Crimean society needs such conferences and underscored that Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people considers the development and strengthening of the national education system one of its top priority goals.

In the framework of the ceremonial part, the souvenirs were presented and commendation were expressed to the Leader of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Mustafa Jemilev and rector of the Crimean Engineering – Pedagogical University Fevzi Yakubov on behalf of the rector of the Turkish university “Sakarya Üniversitesi” Muzaffer Elmaz and other participants of the Congress.

The bright and talented performances of the art collectives of the Crimean Engineering – Pedagogical University, Crimean Tatar ensemble “Uchan Su” and young performers of the national Crimean Tatar music decorated the closing ceremony.
