SUKHUMI, November 8 (Itar-Tass) - Situation in Abkhazia, a much-troubled region of Georgia that has been living amid uncertainty for the past weeks following a controversial presidential election, is generally quiet.

There were no incidents related to the post-election tensions over the weekend.

Supporters of one of the candidates, Raul Khajimba, continue blocking the entrance to the parliament building, while the armed proponents of another candidate, Sergei Bagapsh, are controlling the territory of Abkhazian television.

A source at the regional government said Abkhazian Prime Minister Nodar Khashba is now in Moscow.
