Taiwan gains OECD observer status

The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) Council recently approved Taiwan’s application for observer status at the Competition Law and Policy Committee. This marks the first successful attempt for Taiwan to join a decision-making mechanism in the OECD.
Membership in this committee is of significant importance given Taiwan’s WTO admission, opening the market to an environment of greater competition and opportunities.
