The government of Norway has expressed its keen interest to invest in the Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) areas to promote socio-economic conditions of the area by implementing development projects.

Norwegian Ambassador Aud Lise Norheim expressed this eagerness while he called on Deputy Minister for the Ministry of Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs Mani Swapan Dewan at the latter's office in the city Tuesday.

Norway would independently or jointly with the UNDP take up development projects in the CHT, according to official sources.
