Ahead of the inauguration of President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan on May 29, the Movement for the Survival of the Ogoni People (MOSOP) has called on Nigerians to rally behind him to deliver on his electoral promises.

In a statement signed by its President, Ledum Mitee, MOSOP described the presidential election as an improvement on the previous ones and commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for a job well done.

He said: “While urging Nigerians of all political opinions to rally behind the President in the critical path of governance, MOSOP expresses the hope that with the overwhelming mandate received from all over the country, he would deliver on his key electoral promises of employment, power and justice to the peoples of the Niger Delta, among others”.
