Participants of the 3rd Oromia Youth Conference vowed to scale up development efforts and make upcoming elections peaceful.
Speaking at the conclusion of the two-day conference held in Adama town, the youth pledged to contribute share for the sustainability of ongoing multifaceted development activities and make the elections peaceful.
Government’s poverty reduction strategy could not be attained without peace and democracy, the youth said, calling those parties that attempt to halt the peaceful conduct of the election to restrain from acting in undemocratic way.    
They further pledged to vote for a political party that has clear vision, development strategy and works to address the socio-economic problems of the youth.    
Moreover, the youth vowed to join the country to the group of middle income countries by implementing the youth development package efficiently.
