Following a resolution adopted by the General Assembly earlier this year, the United Nations has decided to mark 9 December as the International Day of Commemoration and Dignity of the Victims of the Crime of Genocide and of the Prevention of this Crime. UNPO believes that memory can be a powerful instrument, not only to honour the victims of genocide, but also to raise the voices of those communities...
