German ambassador to Angola, Hingo Wilkman, arrived Monday [9 July 2007] in Cabinda for a 48-hour working visit to that northern province.

The diplomat told reporters on arrival he is in Cabinda to learn more about the situation in the province, concerning the ongoing national reconstruction process.

His visit to Cabinda is also part of the interest of his country's investors to participate in the region's socio-economic growth.

While in the province, Hingo Wilkman is to hold meetings with the bishop of the local Catholic church diocese, with the commander of the military region and with representatives of the civil society.

On Tuesday [10 July 2007], he will travel to the district of Buco-Zau.
