Madhesh: Many Hospitalised Due to Violence of Nepali Police in Nepalguni


On 5 October 2018, UNPO Member the Alliance for an Independent Madhesh (AIM) reports that many were wounded and others arrested by the Nepali Armed Police Force (APF). Among them, Rammanohar Yadav’s family members, injured from beatings. His wife, Sunita, is in critical condition.

In Nepalgunj, the Nepal police have beaten Rammanohar Yadav's family members, including his wife. Sunita Yadav, Manohar's wife, is critically injured.

More than a dozen are wounded. Furthermore, cops have arrested twenty people.

The locals of Banke have struck the vehicles on Friday [5 October 2018] demanding the justice for victim family.

Armed Police Force (APF) have detained the suffering clan mates and cadres of struggle committee while demonstrating peacefully by stopping the vehicles on highway.

The mangled were admitted to a municipality hospital. In addition, Rammanohar's dead body has still not been handed over to his family. It remains in the control of Nepal police since his death in custody 36 days before, on August 31.
