UNPO Publishes Report on The Case of the Guarani-Kaiowá

The Unrepresented Nations and Peoples Organization (UNPO), with the kind support of the Nando and Elsa Peretti Foundation is pleased to announce to have published the report on the Perpetual Abuse of Indigenous Rights: The case of the Guarani-Kaiowá in Brazil.

This report is the fruit of the ongoing collaboration between UNPO and several Members of the European Parliament which resulted in a fact finding mission to Brazil in late 2016 and a conference at the European Parliament entitled “The Guarani-Kaiowá and the Assault on Indigenous Rights in Brazil” which took place on 30 May 2017. Additionally, during the week of 20 November 2017, UNPO received a Brazilian delegation in Brussels to raise awareness for the cause of the Guarani-Kaiowá and other indigenous peoples in Latin America. The delegation took part in a series of events, including the launch of an informal group of Friends of Indigenous Peoples of Latin America in the European Parliament.
