On behalf of the Unrepresented Nations and Peoples Organization (UNPO) we’d like to take this opportunity to thank you for supporting our work in 2017. This year, UNPO has organised a large variety of successful conferences, side-events and missions for our Members. These include our recent launch of the European Parliament Friendship group on the Uyghurs and on the Indigenous Peoples of Latin America. The Members of the European Parliament who are part of these groups will continue to meet informally to discuss the role of the EU in addressing the grievances of these peoples. Furthermore, UNPO also organised several conferences in Washington, DC on the geopolitics of justice and human rights in Balochistan, a side-event to the United Nations Forum on Minority Issues on the challenges facing minority youth, as well as a number of other conferences and roundtables at the European Parliament and UN Human Rights Council!
