Balochistan: Hundreds of Baloch Civilians Continue to Suffer Extreme Abuses

The situation of the Baloch people has been deteriorating in the past few weeks. NGOs and local media sources have observed several human rights violations in Balochistan, accusing the Pakistani military forces and intelligence services of being behind these extremely violent attacks in different regions of Balochistan. Young and elderly people as well as women have been targeted by the Pakistani special forces. Media have reported abductions, acts of torture and destructions of Baloch homes and shops.

The Pakistani military, FC and intelligence agencies continue their offensives and unprovoked attacks against innocent civilians in Balochistan. In past few days hundreds of people have been abducted and disappeared from different areas across Balochistan.

Balochistan media sources and human rights organisations reported that on a Baloch youth named Wahid Abdul Karim was abducted from Awaran on March 20, 2017 during a Military operation.

The next day on 22 of March, 2017, Pakistani forces brought his dead body a Rural Health Centre in Awaran.

The victim’s body bore marks of torture and bullet wounds. It is believed that he was tortured and shot dead in custody by Pakistani forces.

Separately, nine persons were abducted in different parts of Balochistan, on Tuesday, March 21, 2017.

The abducted persons have been named as Mohammad Ali, Noor Baksh and Sherdil from Zoomdan area of Awaran, along with three children of Sherdil.

Pakistan forces attacked the region and carried out a house-to-house search during which the aforementioned men were abducted.

Pakistani forces also abducted Mujahid Rahmdil a resident of Gwarkop Pidrak from Talimi Chowk, a main bazar of Turbat town.

He was abducted in presence of hundreds of eye-witnesses.

Another Baloch youth, Mohammad Din Mohammad Azum, has been abducted from Dalbandin, district Chaghi.

In 1998 Pakistan conducted its nuclear test in district Chaghai Balochistan which later resulted in numerous mysterious deceases.

In a separate military attack in Sui, Dera Bugti, Pakistani forces abducted Rehan and shifted him to an undisclosed location.

On March 20, 2017, Pakistan Military abducted 42 persons in multiple military offensives in different areas of Balochistan.

Sources reported that Pakistani military launched a massive house-to-house search offensive in Darkop area of Gichk district Panjgur, Balochistan on Monday morning.

Mohammed Ayoub was abducted along with two of his sons, Saddam and Haneef. Other civilians abducted in the same offensive include Mir Jan Bakhtiyar, Omet Honak, Abdulrehman Omar, Mohammed yar Sher Mohammed and washdil Diljan.

On the same day, 60 years old Bahram Usman was abducted by security forces in Pannodi area of Dasht, district Kech and Hammal Anwar from Malant area of Tump, district Kech.

Pakistani forces abducted 21 years old student, Akram washdil along with another student, Bilal Imam Bakhsh from Absar area of Turbat, distrcit Kech, while Shokat (mistri) Wahid Bakhsh was abducted from Hoshab area of district Kech.

While another military attack in Pirandar area of district Awaran on Monday morning Pakistan forces abducted Noor Bakhsh, Noora Gulab, Washdil, Timor Khan, Mumtaz,Naheem, Hassan, Wasim, zahid, Hammal and Habib.

In Gazzi area of district Awaran, Yaru, Patan, Akhtar, Khuda Bakhsh, Haroon, Pindu, Dadu, Mehmood, Rahim Bakhsh, Amin, Wahid, Hasil, Nabi Bakhsh, Sahru, Sarwar, Mumtaz and Ghulam Jan were abducted during a Military operation on the same day, Monday morning.

In Dez area of Parom, district Panjgur, security forces attacked a house and severely tortured women and children. A civilian, Daud Lal, was beaten up and his hand was broken by the security forces.

Nine Baloch Civilians were abducted by the Pakistani Army from Gichk Area of Panjgur. The abductees were recognized as Ayub S/o Shahdad, Saddam S/o Ayub, Hanif S/o Ayub, Mir Jan S/o Baktiar , Omet S/o Honak, Abdur rahman S/o Umar, Mohmmad Yar S/o Sher Mahmmad, Sanaullah S/o Rahimdad, Washdil S/o Diljan The Pakistani Army has also Torched more than 15 Houses, One Shop, an Agricultural vehicle, Two Motor Bike, 2 Trucks and one Water supply machine.

Six Baloch Civilians were abducted by the Pakistani Army from Peerandar Area of Awaran. The Abductees were recognized as Naeem, Zahid, Habib, Waseem, Hasan, and Hammal.

On early Sunday morning, security forces started a military operation in Dasht, district Kech Balochistan.

Women and children were severely tortured by security forces during house-to-house search operation and a 17 years old student, Zahid Saleem was abducted from his residence.

The family members tried and cried to save him but military took him, beating up the women and children of the family.

His father, Saleem Charki was abducted the day before. Saleem is a watchman in a private clinic. He was picked up by security forces on Saturday evening.
