Abkhazia: Foreign Ministry Expresses Condolences Over Recent Terrorist Attacks in Baghdad

The Abkhaz Foreign Minister, Mr Kove Daur, sent a note of condolence to the Foreign Ministry of the Republic of Iraq after the double suicide bombing in Baghdad and at least three suicide car bombings in the city’s suburbs. During the attacks, almost 100 people got killed. The Abkhaz Foreign Ministry underlined its strong rejection and condemnation of all kinds of terrorism.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia sent a note of condolence to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq in connection with a series of terrorist attacks that took place in the suburbs of Baghdad.

The note reads, in particular:

"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia expresses deep condolences to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq in connection with the loss of human life caused by a series of terrorist attacks in the country.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia perceived the news of the egregious acts of terrorism in the suburbs of Baghdad, targeting innocent people and resulted in numerous casualties, with a deep sense of empathy.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia is against terrorism in all its forms and condemns the terrorist crime committed against the people of Iraq."
