The Transdniestrian and the Gagauzian Parliamentaries had a meeting on September 15 in Tiraspol. On Chairman of the National Assembly of Gagauzia Ivan Kristoglo’s request they discussed the possibility of Gagauzia’s participation in the talks on the construction of the federative state. The meeting was carried out behind the closed doors. On its completion Ivan Kristoglo and Chairman of the Transdniestrian Supreme Council Evgheny Shevchiuk expressed their satisfaction with the results of the meeting. They are going to continue consultations in two-three weeks.

According to some data, the Transdniestrian Parliamentaries’ attitude towards the initiative of their Gagauzian colleagues is very cautious. They do not exclude that the proposals is a part of “election game“ for Comrat. Besides, the Transdniestrian Parliamentaries are not sure in the purposefulness of changing the format of the talks.
