October 4, 2016
During the month of September, the Unrepresented Nations and Peoples Organization (UNPO) organised and took part in side-events at the UN and convened a conference at the European Parliament. For example, UNPO co-organised a side-event with the Nonviolent Radical Party to the 33rd Session of the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva, entitled “Never to Be Seen Again: Enforced Disappearances and Pakistan’s Bloody Campaign to Impose CPEC in Balochistan”. UNPO, in collaboration with the Assyrian Women's Federation of Sweden, held a conference at the European Parliament hosted by Kati Piri MEP (S&D Netherlands) addressing the plight of Assyrian Women, entitled "Vulnerability and Empowerment of Women and Children in Armed Conflict".
