Comrat Mayor Constantin Tausanji intends to appeal to the international organizations on human rights, if he has no access to the mass media of Gagauzia. As INTERLIC News agency reports, he declared it at today’s press conference in Chisinau. He has noted that he had informed Head of the OSCE Mission to the RM William Hill of this situation.

According to Constantin Tausanji, he and the members of the Municipal Council are forbidden to appear in the programs of the local radio and television and on the pages of the regional newspaper “”Vesti Gagauzii” (Gagauzia’s News). The Mayor sees the main reason for it in the position of his office, which oppose the decisions, taken in the region, which decisions infringe upon the population’s interests and rights.

In particular, he disapproves the actions of the Revenue Inspection, which almost doubled the payment for the right to sell on the Comrat market, the activities of the traffic police and so on. He has also said, if the situation is not changed, he will recur to the Court of Human Rights.
