Sulu: Malaysian TV broadcasts Reportage Prepared by NGO Harum

For a very long time, the Sulu archipelago has been portrayed as particularly violent. This is due to a difficult historical background, including decades of civil war and a continuous conflict between the Filipino government and the militant group Abu Sayyaf. Furthermore, this has been emphasised by negative media campaigns that have had a direct impact on foreign investment, particularly in the case of the Sulu islands.

This documentary, prepared following a mission undertaken by the Malaysian NGO Harum, highlights the reality of the Sulu living conditions and the peaceful everyday life they carry on.
