According to the German Chancellor, Angela Merkel, a sustainable solution between Belgrade and Prishtina is Kosovo’s membership to the UN, Kosovo’s Gazeta Express reports.

Serbian media have reported that during her visit to Belgrade, Chancellor Merkel will specifically put forward this demand to the Serbian officials, that they do not impede the inclusion of Kosovo in the United Nations.

Another request of the Chancellor, according to the Serbian media would also be the cutback of the political impact of Serbia in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Berlin view is that Kosovo’s membership to the UN would not mean that Serbia recognizes the Kosovo independence.
