Newsletter June 2014

Dear UNPO Members and friends, 

A lot of events took place over the course of the month of June, among which an international conference in Munich, the 17th Session of the UNPO Presidency, several quality publications, as well as the successful 2014 SpeakOut! human rights advocacy training in The Hague. Last month was also marked by major events for several of our members, with anti-slavery activist Biram Dah Abeid historic participation in Mauritania's Presidential elections, but also, frrm a more alarming perspective, the escalating crisis affecting the lives of minorities and other vulnerable groups in Iraq, including the Turkmen and Assyrians.
