Khaindrava expressed protest regarding the arrival of a group of Russian parliamentarians
in breakaway Abkhazia to monitor the presidential polls, scheduled for January
12.
The delegation of the Russian MPs is led by Sergey Baburin,
Vice-Speaker of the Russian State Duma Council, which is the lower house of
the Parliament.
“Russia is the only country which is officially sending observers to the
forthcoming presidential elections in Abkhazia,” Goga Khaindrava told
reporters on January 10.
