Iraqi Turkmen: Leader Survives Attack in Kirkuk

Unidentified people installed explosives in the house of the provincial head of the Iraqi Turkmen Front (ITF) in Kirkuk, , but the politician and his family survived the attack without injuries.

 

Turkey said it strongly condemns the malicious terrorist attack, and urged Iraqi authorities to find the perpetrators and bring them to justice as this, Turkey said, is important to succeed in efforts to establish peace and stability in the country.

 

In a Foreign Ministry statement released on Thursday, Turkey said it does not have any doubts that one of the founders of Iraq, the Iraqi Turkmens, will maintain their restraint over similar acts aimed against the stability, unity and peace of Iraq.
