Below is an article published by Oromo Liberation Front :

Several innocent Oromo nationalists have been apprehended from their homes in Finfinnee (Addis Ababa) by the current Ethiopian regime’s armed forces under the pretext of “organizing OLF cells” in the capital and in Oromia at large. Among those arrested, the names of those our reporters are able to identify include:
1. Baay’isaa Dhaabaa,
2. Zallaqaa Beenyaa, and
3. Taye Danda’a

The regime is reportedly intensifying arrests of Oromo nationalists, particularly focusing on those whom the regime thinks could challenge the 2010 so called “election”, in all parts of Oromia by finding all sorts of lies and false accusations. In particular, the regime is focusing on the Oromo people due to fear that the popular protest of 2005, that engulfed the entire Oromia and lasted for nearly two years may surface again following next year’s election.

Meanwhile, an Oromo nationalist working in Bakkoo Tibbee district (Woreda) Finance Office, Mr. Dabalaa, was arrested on September 10, 2009 under the usual accusation of being a member of OLF. The whereabout of Mr. Dabala is yet unknown, our reporters added. The regime’s armed forces have first searched Mr. Dabalaa’s home, and when they were unable to find any thing or “evidence” of his OLF membership, they arrested him and took him away to an undisclosed location.
